We are nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in beautiful Western North Carolina. Nearly 200 acres of rolling hills with gorgeous views of the mountains & bordering the Catawba River. Just a short drive from main street in Marion, NC. We have always passion & interest for the agricultural lifestyle, with over 25 years experience. We are a family ran farm and we strive to feed your family just like ours.
Here at Kc Meadows, we produce some of the finest grass-fed, grass-finished beef available. Unlike some producers who either label the beef as grass-fed or just grass-finished, our cattle spend their entire lives grazing on fresh pasture. We do not buy calves who might have been fed grain and then finish them on grass.All of our cattle are born and raised on the farm. We regularly rotate pastures which allow us to graze virtually year round and the key to great grass-finished beef is the grass. We intensively manage the pastures for both quantity and quality. For without quality inputs, it is hard to make a quality product.
No antibiotics or hormones ever. We do not take antibiotics or hormones on a regular basis, so why would we give them to the animals that we eat? Because of our animal management program, rarely do we have an injured or ill animal. We see each animal several times a day, so if something unforeseen comes up we are on it almost immediately. If anything serious were to come up, the animal would be removed from the grass fed program.
Josh Ward, along with his wife Haley manage & operate the farm on a day-to-day basis. They have 3 children and believe instilling in them Christian values & good work ethic. They believe in a simple, natural lifestyle following their mountain roots.
